I may just be hoping against hope that I've got a 1922 No D Wheat cent here, but I'm not sure, so I brought it here to get some opinions from you folks that have more knowledge than me about these things (varieties). The second 2 is all but gone, but I've looked at a bunch of 'em on the different grading company's sites, and, on some of them, it would appear that the base of the second two is sharp - on others, it's not.
Not the best scan, but it's the best I can come up with - hope it's good enough for you to make a determination. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Thanks for taking the time to check it out, and I am definitely looking forward to reading what you have to say about this coin.

This may help you.

I believe this is a Die Pair 3 variety (weak reverse).

Thanks Moe145 - in comparing my coin with the photos at the site you recommended, I believe you're right in your assumption of the die pair variety.
While it's not one of the "big dollar" 1922 PLAIN cents, it does fill that empty hole in the Dansco Album.
Again, thanks.

I guess I am confused by the big dollar comment. Die variety 3 can either be a weak D or a no D. Which is yours? Hoping it is a no no...

That was a kind of an off the cuff comment about the high dollar variety. I believe the 1922-no D-strong reverse (2nd die pair) is considered more desirable to collectors of Lincoln Cents, and carries a higher value than the other three die pairs, but, while I have a completed set of Lincoln Wheat Cents - at least, as complete as the Dansco Album (7103) has holes for - I don't consider myself all that knowledgeable on the series.
After I read your question about the mint mark, I got out the coin and my 20X glass, and looked at from several different angles - I can see no sign of a mint mark ever having been there. Also, while it doesn't show up well in the scan, the second 2 is weak, but complete.
