Another roll find. This one has some strange toning going on. The pictures do not do the shiny coloring justice. The center of the obverse is a shimmering green and the reverse is a orange/purple tone with green spots!

The coin details look to be pretty good. Mainly wondering if the toning affects the value in a positive or negative direction.

Are there collectors that look for these toned coins? I am not sure how or why is was toned as I found it roll hunting. Any ideas?

Thanks

It could have been toned due to the oxygen in the air mixing with the coin. Very nice find!! Keeper for sure!!

Awesome! Great colors! Certian coins I like toned examples of.. If I see one that catches my eye I'll buy it and keep it aside of the set (I keep a regular/natrual one for the set too though).. But absolutely, some toned coins are beautiful! ... To me at least...

I love those. I have about 5 extremely toned from a 57-d roll that was wrapped in foil for 60 years, but no camera can seem to pick up the toning.
