Hi,
I'm actually a new member, and have already benefited from the discussions in the forums. One area that I have a problem with is some of they acronyms and slang used in the numismatic area. I now understand what culls are, VBS, and other terms but I am having problems
understanding what VAM,IGS,IGE, and what other terms are.I believe there are books that would help me, and Google already has. I was searching this site for terms and slang definitions but could not find any areas
to enlighten my knowledge. Any direction in this area would be most
helpful.
thanks,
Jeff

outdoorguy,

There is a row of boxes on the left side under NAVIGATION. Click on to GLOSSARY and this may be of some help.

http://www.coincommunity.com/dictionary/ this is VERY helpful.

I am TLAI (three letter acronym impaired) so I rely on this quite a bit.

EDIT: Figures mds308 would beat me to the punch!

If there are any acronyms that are not in the glossary that still puzzle you, and they aren't generic Internet acronyms like "AFAIK" (as far as I know), feel free to ask what they mean. We can always add more entries to the glossary if they are needed.
Don't say "infinitely" when you mean "very"; otherwise, you'll have no word left when you want to talk about something really infinite. - C. S. Lewis
