I have a 3 coin set which I took out the Ike for my book, gave away the kennedy and now left with a quarter and I don't collect quarters so I need some help.

Is this a DDO?

Only know of one one known proof DDO or DDR on this coin.
This example below is DD0-001
1-O-V-CCW from K-12
Medium spread on all digits of the date.
I do not see it here on your coin.

When I went to the PCGS site they had it seemed a reference to two different uncirculated silver Bicentenial packs with one being a BS strike and one Proof. I think I have the BS strike. They had some super large images of MS68/MS69 of the BS strike but the Proof page had no images yet. And I don't have a subscription so I only got to see that page once.

Couple questions. Are you sure it's proof and are you sure it's silver?I am not seeing much if any "frosting" on the coin and it doesn't look as "white" as a silver coin should.

Yes, the three coin Bicentenial set are 40% silver.

Here is one of the sets listed on ebay showing pictures. I bought it about 5 years ago and until I opened it recently to take the Ike for my book it just sat in the closet.

I'm not sure what you mean by frosting? In hand it's as if the entire coin is like the white part of a Proof.

Edit: And this seems to be the proof version of the 3 coin set.

with John1 I am not sure it is a proof. It could be the pictures but I do not see the mirror like reflection on the fields.

whatsthedillio,
Your first link shows an uncirculated set not a proof set,is that the one you have? The second link shows a proof set,it has the "frosting" that I mentioned.

He never said it was a proof, he said it came from a three coins set (first post) and he said it was a BS or business strike (His third post)

To clarify, I was responding to Indian1's comment:

Quote:

So if that is the case, the OP's coin could not be that particular DDO.

Thanks Conder101!
