I have attached some pictures of this 2007 cent. Were hoping this might be a major DDO but there's always that question of Strike Doubling that kills you!! As I said in my intro, we subscribe to Coin World and sent some pictures over to them, before I found this site, so I'm hoping its not just Strike Doubling. That would be embarrassing. I'll just let you guys look. Thanks

Wow, I bet that LIBERTY just jumps out at you with no help needed from a magnifier?

Its a little hard to tell if this coin is a true doubled die from the photos. The lack of splits in the serifs lead me to believe that this is the more common Strike Doubling. I hope I'm wrong though, Treasurehunter.

I find this coin confusing. Some parts look like real doubling and some only look like strike. I'd tried to magnify some of the shots to see if the splits are there.

I agree with tmor. Looks like a common mechanical die. I hope I'm wrong. Someone will be letting us know pretty soon I'm sure.

It's Machine Doubling. The width of the letters is normal in all cases. A doubled die would have extra thickness to the overall size and shape of the letters.

Oh well, it's the best Machine Doubling I've ever seen. I guess that's the secret, looking for that thickness in the letters. We thought we were seeing that though, especially that y which seemed real fat. Let the searching continue!!! Thanks coppercoins appreciate the expert opinion.
