Hi
I've got two 1 dollar gold coins which I cant find any information about.

The First one is from 1855.
United States of America. 1 Dollar. 1855.
Other side has 13 "stars" around Liberty woman.

The second is from 1900.
One side has a picture of an eagle and text United States of America. One dollar.
Other side Liberty Woman and around it says "e pluribus unum"

Will try to upload pictures within a few hours.
The sizes of the coins are about 10 and 12 millimeters.

I can find any information about these particular coins. So I was wondering if they are real or counterfeit.

Neither coin is a genuine United States issue. The 1855 is similar to the original $1 gold piece but the design changed in 1854 so it is an imitation. The 1900 is an imitation of the Morgan silver dollar design also not genuine.

Long shot, but those could have enough real gold in them to have some value, despite being phony.

Thanks for the information. Thats why I could not find anything about these coins.

Then I need to check, to see if it is gold or another metal.
