I have a 1972 and a 1969-D Lincoln I "think" is die to deterioration of the die. The 69-D has what looks like tripling on the you and on the first leg of the N. All of the lettering is crisp and no other dbl/tpl anywhere... What say you...

I don't see any Die Deterioration.On the UN it looks like MD.On the 2 I see what might be a tiny notch?

Would need to see more photos. I think the "notch" is a piece of dust, eh? In my younger days I chased many of these. This is a great resource http://coppercoins.com/ you can look for die markers and either eliminate .... or stoke your excitement.
