You should be able to find some more information on the UN 20c in the following article.

I think the description on the 2x2 is more than adequate to describe the coin in a manner to be recognised by collectors for what it is.

I would put your coins in new 2x2's with some neat writing.! Firstly it would allow a better photograph without the reflections off the Mylar and secondly after it has been repackaged it would then become "your coin". I am sure we would all like to see the best possible images available.! Best Wishes.! Such unique and valuable coins surely deserve a fitting home.!

maybe the light isn't picking up the colour but I can't see what's wrong with the 20-cent. I can read "aureate bonded steel" on the 2x2. Is it magnetic ? I can understand a stray planchet ending up in the wrong place at the Mint, but this seems to be a full-size 20-cent planchet. Why would a Thai temple-token end up at the Mint ?
With the $1 - I'd like to see a close up of the edge. As I understand it, the presses at the Mint are designed to prevent the possibility of double heads or tails. It is possible to get a rotated die, but that's about it. Most "doubles" are manufactured post-Mint, from two coins, ground (or whatever) and joined (by whatever means).
A few years ago, several five-cent doubles were discovered, and were discussed in Coin News. The last word that I saw on them, was that no-one could fault them.
