Picked these up yesterday, was really hard to capture the color on the 42-D. Has rainbow coloring, copper center that fades to blue and green on the edges.

Nice coins

I'm not sure of the grades PCI gave the coins, and those that do not recognize PCI as a real certification service and avoid PCI slabs, it has been my personal experience that all the PCI coins that I had crossed over to ANACS received the same grade and on 2 occasions ANACS graded 1 point higher...

I'd guess MS-64FB and MS-65FB for the 42-D and 44-D, respectively. The toning on the 42-D looks nice but it might be masking some contact marks and grade-limiting spots.

@Broken-Coin here's an interesting article on PCI slabs that BadThad directed me to a while back. I keep an eye out for these because most of the dealers and collectors in my area look at PCI slabs as damaged goods. http://www.k6az.com/pci/pci.htm
Rest in Peace

Yep, I agree with the grades assigned by Jaobler. I have a few coins in PCI slabs and agree with all the grades except one. It's a 2003 silver Eagle that's graded MS67. I'm sure it would be an NGC MS69.

Ooops, edited to add: Very nice toners!

There's a light die clash on the 44-D too.

The second coin should be MS65 FB. For the first coins, I see lines near the date and the Y in liberty. Are those on the coin itself or are they photographic artifacts?
