Hi, I have this coin which I believe is Roman. I have been told it is Constantine the Great and also it may be commemorative coin of his. I would be grateful for any comments. Sorry about the quality of the pic.
With the star in the left field and judging from the style it is likely minted at Arles, PCONST in exergue.
To me the busts on commemoratives often look masculine but they represent the city personifications of Constantinople,(victory on prow) or Rome (wolf and twins) and are feminine.
I had a look at the site and it is fascinating. I even started to learn about which way Victory was moving ! And saw the oars. Have you any idea what these sort of coins are worth?
