Just wondering if anyone has any experience or recommendations(good or bad) with mintproducts.com? Some prices seem pretty fair, some not so much. Most importantly, were you happy with the coin you received?

Any advice or suggestions about this site would be greatly appreciated.

I notice that they George V $10 gold coins for sale. There is some excellent fakes of these about.
In this case, if these are fakes, it is most probably NOT the fault of the dealer that he cannot pick them; they are THAT good.
They are probably made from genuine low grade common date recycled U.S. Eagles, which have the same weight and purity.

I saw one come up at auction sometime ago, and the auctioneer explained why he thought it was suspect, and that is the lot was described. Not even this auctioneer was prepared to commit himself to say it was genuine or not. I had a close look at the coin in hand under a 10x loupe, and I could not pick it myself.

I have had some really great experience with them. They are a not so well known, but very reputable dealer. Also, they have an ad in Coin World magazine and I think Coin World might do a little background research before putting some company in the magazines. I could be wrong about the research part though, but even if I am they are still a good dealer.
