Hi All
My Dad passed away some years ago and we have found in the attic a huge collection of british coins pennies etc
In a case is a mint 1797 cartwheel penny It has 11 leaves on the olive branch and 11 on the head band. Can anyone tell me how rare and what value it may have?
Thanks for any help
Ade

Condition is all important. There isn't a lot of difference between 10 or 11 leaves.Catalogues (Spink) vastly over value them.

ade please post a picture of both sides so the experts can grade and value (add a grade to Peter's as he is the perpetual pessimist ) and us amateurs can learn - Cartwheels have been very popular on ebay recently.

Hit reply to topic, don't post in the quick reply window. Then under where you can enter text there is a link to "upload photos", and if your photos are too large use the "image optimizer" under that.

Also try to get as detailed pics of both sides as you can, for grading detailed pics are a must...

And WELCOME!!

In your reply click on 'upload image' (just below the text box) and select one from your computer. If the image you have is too large to upload use the image optimizer (which is the link below the 'upload image' one!)
