the coin has forever lost its reeded edge.

The reeded edge is still well present.
I guess that is just a problem of my scanner.
Btw the weight of the coin is 5.57 grams with a theoretical weight of 5.55

stunning.
maybe a bit of a weak strike (there's usually a little more detail in the low relief areas like the feathers).
all the high points look almost untouched. AU58-UNC.
hard to tell what is going on a the top/right of the "1", PMD? (then AU58 details) die crack? stuck through?
for 120 years old she's a beauty!
