Time for some British flavor. Here's a crown minted in commemoration of King George VI's ascension to the throne. Any opinions are welcome :)

Lots of nicks on the obverse, and unfortunately in high visibility areas. I don't know the series, so I have no idea if that's wear in the hair or not. The reverse looks fantastic. Only think that stands out to me is the pot mark on the right side unicorn thigh.

I would guess MS as I don't know what may or may not be wear, but I would say pretty low because of all of the marks on the obverse.

Of course, I'm probably way off here......

Yes. That would read, "goodEF," implying something better than a "normal" EF. There's also "aEF," or "almostEF." These modifiers are used in conjunction with every word designating grade - at least, everywhere but the U.S. - and provide degrees of differentiation in grade fine enough to that they don't have to resort to hard, impersonal numbers.

"EF" in such a grading system implies greater quality than the Sheldon EF - AU is reserved for coins we'd describe as AU58, barely circulated, and the world's EF covers coins up to about our AU55.

So, secretsquirrel actually assigned a pretty favorable grade to that coin. I tend to agree with it - just the hair highlights and highest details on the reverse imply circulation wear.

Thanks for the clarification, SuperDave. Of course the US can't go along with world standards for measurement, haha.
