I got this in change from Rite Aid. I thought there was maybe some glue or something on the front that made it look white, but it wasn't sticky or icky or anything so I washed it with water andnothing came off. I am thinking maybe the plating came off or wasn't plated properly? In the back, hard to see from the scan, it looks like it wasn't fully plated, above the end of the word united it looks steel in color and then blends drk and ends up in it's natural coldish color, not white like the front. I rather like the way it looks and thought it would be interesting to share this with you. I'm a newbie to coins so dunno if this is a variety, error or just junk lol
