Does anyone have an speculation at to which of these may be the better investment in the long run? I realize the 1oz silver coin has just been released but am curious which people think would be the one to purchase, if you were to pick one? (At the released prices).

The good deal for me is the oh!canada serie. It is 39.95 for a half ounce. The price is guaranteed till the end of the serie. SO if silver price goes up to 50$ it will be still at 39.95. We have to recognize that the silver price is related to the silver paper of the COMEX in New-York and the fixed price of London. The US mint started to get a silver shortage and the RCM rationned the quantity of silver in January.
The Premium for silver maple is presently a bit more than 10%. I expect that premium to rise, anyway I'm watching it. Silver paper price is just a gambling made by traders. One the reality will catch them and silver price can explode.

Do you have to choose between the two? It would be good to own BOTH!

I was thinking about that option too. lol
They are both really nice sets/coins!
I've been collecting mint coins for a while but this is my first time discovering this forum so thought I might ask the opinion of all you people on the value of each! :)

Fine Silver Maple Leaf - 25th Anniversary Fractional Set (2013)
Mintage: 9999

Sold out online but my local post office is getting one in so was given the chance to purchase it when I went in to order the 1oz coin. Made my decision even more difficult

I was fortunate to get a set today at the post office. I'm trying to figure out how the post office can order more when the RCM and the Canada Post warehouse are sold out.

I guess time will tell.

It's been out for a long time now. It was released the same time the penny set was.

As I know. They can't order anymore. All are sold out in the system.

Some POs still have this set till now, just because they haven't sold it yet.

Yes... I got a fractional coin set at the CP location at the Atrium here in Toronto. Someone posted the set on redflagdeals and it sold 5 minutes before I showed up. The manager came out and said he had one more in the back that wasn't put on display.
