I was looking to find info on how to get a nice bezel and make a necklace and this is what I came across!

Look at the tips at the end:

"Warping of the coin is natural. Just pound it out, as said in step #5. You may need to flatten it out while punching the hole as well.

You might want to wash the coin before you wear it, because it might have small rock fragments on it. Brushing it a little works just as well."

Uuggh. The choices seem to be shell out $50 of a silver bezel or grab a hammer and wail on that coin like a monkey opening a coconut with a police brutality stick.

How about a metal slip ring of the right thickness, a pillar drill and some grub screws tipped in plastic to protect the coin and sawn off to make flat?

I definitely don't have access to a pillar drill. And what do you mean slip ring? Like a jump ring?

Also, did you ever order those 2x2s? I order some for myself on ebay, probably your best bet if they will ship to you.
