Hello,

I'm looking at buying a Canon EOS Rebel T3i camera. Main use will be taking pictures of coins for my site and ebay.

Thanks for your help.

If you are only planning to use the camera for coin photography, the T3i has more features than you need. The T2i has same sensor and processing engine but without some of the features. Even an old XS can work almost as well as a T3i, and costs a lot less. Another thing to consider is buying just the body. This will save you $$ so you can buy more coins. Along with the camera, you need to decide on a lens of some type (macro, bellows, etc) and not paying for the kit lens will give you more $$ to spend on an appropriate lens/system.
