I don't do world coins per say, but the outrageous values placed on this coins blew my mind. Take a look for yourself.

I am thinking that the prices are high. Most of world silver and gold coins I can get for around spot price at my local coin shop. The exception being will more popular world coins, like Canadian or British coins and some of the Chinese and Australian bullion.

High ? That is a subjective question. They are at or above "book" value which is usually inaccurate on the limited edition proofs.

Personally I have sold several of these proofs at silver melt and was glad to get rid of them because they were going to people who would preserve them as coins. There is ZREO market for most of these locally. Even Canadian gets melted in NC. Boston had a much more lively foreign market (more collectors) when I worked there.

Personally I do not like these made for collectors issues. They never circulate and in my view they are not "real" coins.

But once they are made I hate to see them melted for scrap.
