I know people collect error coins but do they collect polymer notes with errors, and what sort of errors if they do? javascript:insertsmilie('  ')

Misaligned notes are cool. I have a couple that are a little off but nothing too special. I also have a few ink smudges. Note errors dont do it for me as much as coin errors.

I feel the same as you I like coins, do you know if notes with missing MARY GILMORE and A B "BANGO" PATERSON are collectable and I have a $10 with thicker than normal serial number at the top and the other down the middle with a thin 0 in it like AD thin 0 than normal 3307573

The names were added in later issues to help the public identify just who was on their notes.

and BEWARE: there are unscrupulous sellers who manufacture "error-notes" with a little acetone.
Best error note I've seen was a $10 with mis-matched serials: went for $8,000 at auction a few years ago ... AND it was well-circulated.

I believe the change occurred for notes from 2002 onwards.

fnq great to see you found a 2011 10c there's still none to be found were I am, would you know whats the best way of sending a coin? is it wrong of me to send in a in a little thick zip bag like what you get sterling silver stuff in?
