Hey there everyone! I need some help identifying some coins I have had for a number of years! My dad use to drive a taxi and started giving me his old and odd coins he would get on the job, and I started to collect them from the age of 13 never really knowing anything about them, just thinking it was cool ;) Well in the last few months I got really interested in finding out about them and started to look up information. Yet I still get stuck on these 9 coins, I'm not looking for values just information :) They were a gift from my father and are now to close to heart to ever sell. I hope the regulars here could help me out a little seeing as you guys seem to know so much! Thanks for taking a peek at my post :) -Katelynn Identified - moved to World Coins forum - Sap

Thank you very much CGCoins,
You don't have any information on #1 do you? It seems to be the hardest to find!
Regards, Katelynn

#2 is from 1939 commemorating the royal visit to Canada Perhaps someone with more knowledge about religious medals will chime in about number 1. to the forum

I think I can read "perpetual help" on #1 and I think I see "Our Mother." Other than that the scans are so small I can't make anything else out. If I had to guess it looks like a pilgrimage token.
The keys of St. Peter and the Chi Rho are on the front but I can't read the text to see which Pope is engraved. That would allow us to narrow down the date.

I think I see Paul VI (1963-1978)
A souvenir from the 60s or 70s? Did a relative/friend go to Italy during that time period?
Not much help but a start.

chequer: Thank you for your input! :)
Allranger: The text on the front reads "Paulus VI Point. Max." On the back it says:
"S.Marie De Perpetuo Succursu O.P.N"
matthewvincent: No it was actually given to my father to pay for a cab ride! My dad couldn't refuse because he wanted the token for me!

WOW!
A religious medal accepted as payment for a cab ride?
Look at it this way:
A prayer, any prayer, from any religion which is bestowed is a blessing.
Either your dad or you needed a prayer. Or the rider simply had no money. No matter - angels appear in dirty clothes!
