This is not to be confused with The Royal Mint. This company doesn't really impress me. They get away with producing, IMHO, junk coins and harm the hobby long term here is just one of their sales pages:

Obviously they don't breach the terms of the hobby protection act...but IMHO opinion it breach's basic numismatic principles. I also fear some people buy these issues thinking they might actually appreciate in value. IMHO (and very biased opinion) companies like this need to be closed down.

I'm actually ok with them, not that i'd buy them but its fairly obvious they're replicas. It seems they also sell legit sovereigns.

The UK company that really annoys me is the 'London mint office' - many a pensioner has been suckered into signing up for an initial cheap gold coin without reading the fine print.

Not impressed either, but I don't see anything wrong with selling replicas. By the way, if that is a UK company (and it seems it is), why would US law such as that Hobby Protection Act apply to them anyway? While I would most probably not buy such pieces (never say never, hehe), people who like them may well purchase them.

Now that London Mint Office is, like other/similar companies of the Samlerhuset group, a little more problematic. If you buy a supposedly inexpensive coin, you may end up with a subscription. Which means you need to send future, unwanted coins back to them, or cancel the subscription which can be a hassle.

And yes, both company names (UK Mint, L.M.O.) are somewhat misleading in my opinion. Buyer beware ...
