How to grade and identify problem coins, so that they know what to look for and get better quality coins and not overpay for problem coins. Here is the coin that they displayed. denco7 Pillar of the Community United States 2543 Posts	Posted 02/15/2013 6:40 pm It is a counterfeit Trade dollar. With the advent of the Morgan dollar , Trade dollars were no longer acceptable in China and Trade dollars began to flood back into the U.S.. In 1879 Trade dollars were only made in proof for collectors. Obviously this one is not a proof. Should be getting my Silver Eagle prize next week. Report this Post to the Staff
