This is the oldest penny I've found so far coin roll hunting. Anybody know what these three dents are from? They are the same color as the rest of the coin so it must have happened a long time back.

Looks like it was shot 3x with a BB gun.

Yep, IMO BB damage. I've seen coins hit with BB's and that's just it looks like. Nice date though!

Back in the day when I was a was a brash and ignorant kid adding to the ever-growing amount of BB'd coins in the world we'd stand a penny on stack of tires and back off about 20 feet and fire away. Thinking back on it, with all those BB's whizzing around it's a wonder we didn't all end up like Ralphie in "A Christmas Story".
