Juat a question. Is the Russian coin with the ballerina made of palladium? Just wondering. Quite a nice mix of world coins. Congrats.

Yes, it's a 1/4 oz Palladium coin, I've been looking for Pd in that size for some time now.

Love the double Fiji Taku. Comes in 1 ounce variety. First time I've seen a double.

Love the variety! I had a couple of questions. A friend of mine has a bunch of Spanish and Cuban coins that he wants to eventually sell. He's under the impression that he can get a lot more than melt because of the rareness of the coins. As luck would have it I recognized two coins from your purchase that he's should me before. So I'm wondering how much you paid for the Cuban dos pesos and the Spanish 25 pesetas coins?
I'd like to compare what you paid to the actual weight in gold to see what kind of price he can get. I'm assuming that given the high price in gold the numismatic component of the coins must be close to nothing... But maybe I'm wrong. Thanks

The 25 Pesetas was a little over $410 (in stock at APMEX right now for $401.XX) The Cuban 2 Peso was $350.

So it looks like the Spanish coin is pretty close to spot. But the Cuban coin looks promising. If its the same coin that in thinking it contains 0.0967 oz of gold so a $350 price would be double spot price. It looks like there's still some numismatic value on top of the underlying gold to be had. Thanks for the info. I think I'm going to make my friend's day when I tell him.

Great collection! Really liked the coins and the bars. But what is this 10 tola bar exactly? Is it some historical bar or something?

Wow, those are some nice coins! Thanks for sharing. I like the butterfly and the Russian Barbarella. I has to pass on buying them at my local coin store a few months ago because I didn't have any money.
