I looked on ebay and noticed that people were asking much more than silver price for these bars. Just checking if anyone is familiar with these bars. Thanks

I'm mystified too, I can't see why anyone would pay more than silver melt for these, particularly when it's easy to buy coins for a lower premium.

I wouldn't want to pay that much but that's only because I've seen a number of fake silver ingots.

Some fakes are really obvious, others are really deceptive, especially those that are base metal coated in a thick layer of silver.

Buyer beware !

Some of the high premiums paid for silver, especially old poured bars. Is because there are collectors of OLD poured silver bars. I look at it as one who collect rare coins same thing but in this case it's silver bars.

These are sold pretty often on Monarch Precious Metals and APMEX, probably for less than a winning bid or BIN would be, but I wouldn't know since I avoid ebay like the plague. Similar (NCM) bars are on sale right now at Monarch for $184.45 each

I too am surprised to see the prices fetched for silver which should have gone for spot or less. But then, don't they say, beauty lies in the eye of the beholder!
