Heirlooms of a friend. It would be great if we can get some help on grade and value. How to tell if they are genuine? I guess it is not worth it to have them slabbed, is it? Thanks. Sorry about the pics. The scanner didn't pick up the luster.

Personally I don't think that Liberty Head is worth a whole lot more than melt due to the scratches.

Liberty - EF40 details scratched - worth bullion + a small premium.
Indian - AU details scratched/rim bumps - worth bullion + a small premium.

Definetly not worth spending more $$ to get them slabbed (at least no more than $10/coin). They look genuine, and most coin dealers should have no trouble paying for one un-graded or raw.
