I got this coin it said it's from Ala ad-Din Muhammad II minted at taloquan

Help-ID-Islamic-Coin-And-Cleaning-Suggestions?

It looks a bit like the one on this wikipedia page but not 100% sure
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talukan

I'm more worried about it turning green - the photo doesn't quite show how green it is , it looks like its got a light green on the entire surface. And it has become more green in a matter of weeks. I have acetone and distilled water for cleaning other coins , debating what to do for this.

Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.

Since no one else has answered you I will offer my opinion...

A green patina is in fact desirable, but green bronze disease is not. I am not sure which you have.

In any case, a short acetone dip cannot do the coin any harm but if it is bronze disease it is not going to cure it. Verdi-care is the product you will require if that turns out to be the case. Verdi-care is available from Wizard coins (American website) and is a miracle product.

I don't know how you keep your coins but I would recommend that you don't leave them open to the elements, 2x2 flips are used by most here as not only can you write information about the coin on the cardboard surround, you can also view both sides of the coin while having it protected from any harm.

Interesting coin, I find Islamic coins difficult to attribute and only have a few in my collection. The green on your coin is not BD but is patina and as far as cleaning it, I would just leave it alone.
