Asymmetrical perimeter. Looks like it was placed in a miniature waffle iron. It's cool to look at but I would put my money on PMD.

Since you've decided to keep it, I would suggest that you make a note of when you found it.

I'm curious as to what will happen to this coin. Will it stay the same or will the coin deteriorate further?

You have good photos here to compare it to in ...say ... 10 years or so.
