The top image looks like it has been lifted from a website or from a book and has no depth or colour in the image. This makes it nearly impossible to grade from this image. The second coin down looks harshly cleaned ( notice the hairline scratches and the remnants of lustre in the lettering) otherwise it would grade at VF+ - aEF The third coin looks to have been dipped and ALL the patina has been removed from the coin (note the debris in the lettering) and the unnatural colouring of the coin. It may even be a fake. I personally would not bid on any of these coins if they were listed on ebay because the warning bells went off for me as soon as I saw the images.

Gee they are all from a website with the 2nd and 3rd from jaggards which I expected to be more honest than some out there. But the last one isn't cleaned is it? last time I posted it no one said it had been cleaned? and also the first one is the one I am primarily interested in purchasing can you tell wether it is cleaned or not? Otherwise I am very very disappointed in Jaggards now for not disclosing this and in my oppinion should never be selling a coin which has question marks over it concerning its authenticity. They have just lost a potential customer.

It has an unnatural look about it and the warning bells are going off for me about this coin. My advice is to keep looking and ignore this one i could be wrong about this ( I often am ) but you asked for an opinion and I have given you mine. Personally I wouldn't touch either of the florins with a long stick and walk away and hunt another day

They all look like great coins to me. IMO none of them are cleaned and all show good detail. Id be happy to have any of them.

Okay sorry for a moment there you had me worried that my sovereign was cleaned and it is practically the jewel of my collection (at the moment) would have resulted in a very upset collector

Just another lot of florins I found I know the picture is small but can someone give me a estimate on how much I should pay for something like this? also they are advertised as Fine-Very Fine.

You have no worries with the Sov. Nice aUnc-Unc.
The Downies 1915, gVF-aEF probably wiped, still nice.
The Jaggard coin, a ruined EF downgraded, poor job at attempting to remove rust. No appeal at all.
1932 probably wiped, still a nice example. The Reverse a nice aVF to VF The Obverse might struggle to go aVF Could be a flat strike, image not revealing enough detail. There would be a rather steep price difference between this coin if graded gF a$400 at aVF a$800+ If your prepared to pay the latter price don't trust online images for your purchase go visit the Dealer.

For your second lot. Bullion + 10% which to-day = a$14 a coin = a$98 the lot.
The'17 looks to be heavily cleaned or polished.
None would grade VF

oh my florin,
From the image presented there appears to be slight rub or wear to Vic's Bun and curls, no wear or nasty knocks apparent elsewhere.
There is a mark behind her eye which I can't attribute.
To base a purchase on online images of Australian Gold is very foolhardy. The digital camera can hide as well as expose all kinds of sins.
If the slight rub/wear I see is in fact more substantial then the grade of your little Gem is going to plummet. Not to the VF grade level though.
The coin as presented in the image is a very nice example.

I'm not sure which one you went for, but it must be the right one, given your reaction. For mine, that's what it is all about - what appeals to you as a collector. What appeals to others varies depending on what they like, but you don't need to worry about that unless you're planning to resell. Even then, the way I see it, if you find it appealing someone else will also find it appealing - maybe not everyone, but someone. Congrats on the latest addition to your collection.
