Hello token folks,

I have a group of 8 Civil war tokens. 3 of them have a similar obverse, "Union" 1863 and a large C. All of the wreaths are different.

2 of them are clearly copper and have "Charnley #11 Orange St." & Providence RI on the reverse, the other is below. This token is wafer thin an definitely not made of copper, my best guess is it is bronze or brass.

1863-

1863-

I'm not sure what the football filed like scratches are from or for, but when I googled this token all I found were clearly cent-like in metallic composition. Any thoughts? ID?

This token has been listed by Fuld as a patriotic, 427/480A in brass as a R-9. I do not know if the listing will be retained as a patriotic or relegated to the storecard series when the new books come out. My guess is that it will become a storecard, given the presence of the obverse "C" below the date.

After looking everywhere last night this is the best Fuld 427/480a b I could find

My coin is much different in appearance, almost like mine was plated in gold. My version is really really thin wafer thin but doesn't have the look or feel of being flattened.
