johnny676767 Pillar of the Community United States 521 Posts	Posted 02/18/2013 2:39 pm Hello, I am looking at purchasing a 1950 D Jefferson nickel. It is one of 5 Jeffersons I have not been able to pull out of circulation. For this one, though, I'd like to get an uncirculated coin. Does anyone have any tips on strike quality? I've seen examples with 4.5-5 steps and some with weak pillars. Any general recommendations would be welcome. Thank you. Report this Post to the Staff

NJ Bob Pillar of the Community United States 655 Posts	Posted 02/21/2013 8:04 pm Yes, get the best coin you can. I don't think the full steps are necessarily the only thing you should look for.
