I've just received my first biggish pre decimal purchase in the mail. I am well chuffed with it so I thought I'd show it off here. This was brought home from the mother country. I wonder how long it has had to suffer the rain and cold weather over there.

All that suffering in the cold and wet is without a doubt the reason it still is such a beautiful coin.

Thanks for the comments. I've had it appraised and have found out it's worth 4x what I paid for it!!!! I am not sure what to do with it now.

Congratulations! My thought would be to put it away and bring it out in 2 months time....the feeling is great.

I bought my first pre-dec set last year and it was amazing. Hoping to buy another this year, but stupid house needed stupid work done it? Why it's not acceptable to live in ruins is beyond me!

Markn, that is a beautiful coin and you should be pleased. Also, thanks for being "chuffed". I haven't heard the term in years and had mostly forgotten about it. Have added it back into the proper lexicon.

I must thank Jamie Oliver for bringing 'chuffed' back into my vocab. It's a nice word and one I'd like to use more. :-)

Beautiful coin!

What to do with it? Well, send it to me!

What does "chuffed" mean? First time I ever heard (saw) it.

Gary, What does "chuffed" mean? First time I ever heard (saw) it.

It's the same as saying I'm very pleased with myself.
