Hi guys,

I subscribed to the new O Canada 1/2 oz series. I received the first one (the Inukshuk) - no problem. However, as of February 11, the second one (beaver) was shipped. My credit card was billed as well the same day. Now, every single time I ordered a coin from the RCM, I received it the day my card was billed (give or take one day). We are now February 19 and still nothing in the mail... The RCM told me that I have to wait a whole month before Canada Post could launch an investigation. I live downtown Toronto and their lettermail is supposed to be delivered in 3 to 4 days... I'm getting worried...

Has anything like this happened to you? Should I be worried?

Thanks for your help.

I had two separate orders for identical coins that where charged to my cc and shipped on the same day - Jan 31st. They were lettermail envelopes. One arrived in two business days while the other showed up a full week later. That's more than a week to go across the city.

I guess Canada Post lost the second one for a few days. Your coin will probably show up soon.

Many times RCM puts in a electronic shipping order, which means your coin may not have actually been shipped the day they say it has.

True. I received an RCM ship notification e-mail last Sunday but the CP tracking showed it wasn't actually accepted at the PO until almost 3PM on Monday.

But both of my envelopes noted above were postmarked the same day.

Update: I called the RCM today and they told me that the 1/2 oz silver beaver from the O Canada series is actually backorderered. Even though the status of the order is "shipped" in my profile, she told me that they recently had issues with their website, etc. and that the coin is backordered... The thing is that they billed my credit card, which is odd... They could have told me this when I first inquired via e-mail. I find that customer service is not the best with them....

Another update: I called the RCM again, spoke to a different person... who gave me a different answer LOL... What a bunch of clowns. She told me to sit tight as lettermail can take up to 10 business days. I said that the Canada Post website states that Lettermail takes between 3 to 4 days for in-province / major urban centres. She didn't know what to say. What a bunch of clowns...
