Hi, I recently was given a few coins from my father-in law and well, for the life of me can't figure out these two coins. The first one I can tell is a Susan B Antony Dollar coin, however the face side is on both sides, from what I can tell ~ that isn't normal right?

Also, I don't know if its against the rules or not to post another coin here, since I have no clue about this one either - its really tiny, I can't find any information about it either.

to CCF. The SBA sounds like a Magician's coin and the tiny coin looks like a token of some kind. What does the edge of the SBA look like?

From the first pic of the SBA you can see a faint line around the edge of the rim which tells me that its a Magicians coin, still pretty cool though I've never seen a SBA magician coin before. The small gold looks to be a token of some sort just as John said.
Rest in Peace

with the previous posts.

You do have a particularly nice Magician's coin in that somebody actually used two coins from the same year to make it. It is made by carefully cutting away part of one coin and carefully grinding down another coin. I don't know how they end up in circulation. If I went through all that effort I would keep it. Anyway, I have two in my collection so far.

The photo for the second coin is too blurry for me to see and I don't know that much about gold coins --- but go to the Coin Facts section (find the heading in the column to the left) and click on 'Half Eagles' and see if your coin matches any of those.

I'm on the same page with voshus007. There should be some type of seam along the edge were the two halves were joined together. Somewhere out there is a SBA with two tails. They are great as a deceptive devise for a crooked coin toss.

I believe the miniature coin is a novelty piece and is probably gold. I have seen these used in jewelry and in charms.
