There are some PCGS AU-55 / AU-58 FH's on the 'Bay that sold for just a little more ($210 - $220) than you'd be spending buying that one. Personally, I don't like the discoloration at 7:00 on the obverse. I think there are better out there if you'll be patient

I moved this to the Classic Forum for you :-) The price seems reasonable. Grade appears accurate. Not a FH as noted. It appears original, with luster commensurate with an AU55 coin.

I like it, so I would buy it. But it's all up to you. How do you feel the coin looks?

I'm with Dave H on this one. I don't like the discoloration on the Obverse. I think with a little patience you could find a cleaner one around the same price.

I see no issue with the grade at all. The price is in the correct range for an AU55. The black mark IS a bit distracting. While what he is asking IS fair, personally, I would wait. But that is just me. If YOU like the coin, it is not a bad deal at all.

http://coins.ha.com/c/item.zx?saleN...&lotNo=24710PCGS AU58/CAC, went for $188 at Heritage earlier this month. I went back a year looking, and came to the conclusion that this is AU58 money at Heritage with an occasional bidding frenzy AU55 going in that range. The grade is quite fair, though.

Many collectors have said that if there's something distracting about the coin that you question initially, you're eyes will always be drawn to it after you've bought it... and thus never be 100% happy w/ it. I think you're making the right decision.
