Poll Question
A pole requesting input on whether there should be an additional 'sub-topic' in the Canadian Coins and Currency Discussion - available to all that are interested in speculating on Coin Marketing, Purchasing solely to sell, and/or Flipping Coins.

NOTE: if you select "view results" - without voting - you will no longer have a vote. (Just sayin' that's how these polls work!)

Poll Choices
 I think a separate sub-topic is a good idea.
I don't think that this is necessary
I would prefer that 'Coin Flipping' not be discussed.
I feel it is all part of collecting and is part of a full informative conversation.

I feel that I against the "hoarding", but the re-sale (I have a duplicates, why not to sale them?) it is a part of collecting.

This is the most talked about issue on this NCLT forum - please Vote before reading results.

I would very much support the creation of a separate forum area reserved for commercial discussions. I believe it would greatly reduce the number of antagonistic exchanges that take place here over the pros/cons of buying coins for the purpose of resale vs. personal collecting.

I recognize both are valid areas of the hobby, and I don't have an issue with either. I do know, however, that over the year or so I have been following the Canadian NCLT area it has become more and more about discussing which coins should be purchased to make a quick return vs. the artistic/historical merits of the coins themselves. And anytime money is involved, emotions will sometimes run hot and unpleasant exchanges will take place. For me, these antagonistic exchanges have made following the forum less enjoyable.

If we could separate the two discussions, I think it would serve each group more effectively.

I think such a separation could be "policed" effectively by the moderators here to ensure each area stays on target. Yes, there will likely be some overlap, but I believe it can be minimized.

It is also interesting that this affect mainly Canadian Commemoratives and Non-Circulating Coinage (NCLT) Forum and not others.
