Well, I've come up skunked again on my second attempt. I'm having a good time with it though and I'm learning a lot. My first attempt consisted of 7 rolls of halves and 6 rolls of dimes. No luck. Yesterday I got 10 rolls of halves and again, no luck. I did end up with a roll and a half of 1998's that look to be in great condition. I don't know much about grading but these look to be almost uncirculated. Should I keep em?

I normally keep all rolls of solid dates. If you don't want them, I'm sure somebody else would, so you could always sell them.

They are CWR though so would you still save it? Would they sell for anything over face value? I'll probably just keep them because they are really good looking.

Yes you are officially hooked on roll hunting, enjoy! Keep ALL the clad halves you can possibly store away, we thank you!

That is how I started to, before I started ticking off local banks telling me "this is your last box". Fortunately, there are just too many banks around here. I blast through a box of dimes like nothing anymore. Pennies I take longer looking for 1970s small date.

Welcome to the hobby!! It is very addicting. Soon, 10 rolls won't be enough to satisfy your itch. You'll upgrade to a box, then multiple boxes per week. Sometimes even then searching rolls seems to be the only thing running through your mind! Heck, I even dream about it... I swear, I'm not losing it, haha! My advice to you is to take your time and don't give up. Some searchers go through several boxes without finding any keepers. I've been lucky (knock on wood) and have only had a 3 box streak of no keepers (AKA "skunked"). Don't be afraid to ask questions! We are all here to help!

Welcome, If you have the bankroll, keep one roll of the nicest one's and toss the rest. This hobby shouldn't be about making money, it's about having fun. Keep anything that interests you. Any financial gain is just a bonus you don't normally see in a hobby.
One of my guilty pleasures is foreign coins. Most aren't worth anything but there are some awesome coins out there.

It depends on if you find the right person. They will sell for some over face, but it may not be much. I would just keep them like you said. In a few years, they may be worth more. You could also try to find errors if you are into that.

CWR= customer wrapped roll. Some banks don't have coin counting machines and require their customers to re-roll their coins to return them.
