I haven't found a steel penny yet in a roll. I'm guessing its because they get rejected in coin counting machines for weighting so much less than the average penny. I usually get 5-10 wheats per box. I've only been roll hunting for about 5 months now.

8-10/roll

Large percentage are 40s & 50s. Very few older than 40s. Did just find 1910 this morning

I've been searching Brink's boxes for a long time and also haven't seen any steel pennies. On average I'm finding 13 wheat's per box and averaging 23% copper in every box. Best box was over 40% copper and 100 wheats (not together).

For me it's a good way to pass sleepless nights especially when late night TV is bad.

I am averaging 1-2 wheat pennies per $5 searched. I haven't found a steel penny yet in circulation.

I found 3 steel cents in a coinstar, I haven't found one in rolls. I average 2.25 wheats per 10 rolls, or 5.625 per $25. That's CWRs, not including the 8 solid wheat rolls I bought at one time
