Looked interesting when I got it but after close inspection it simply appears to have the mint mark and part of the date rubbed on in a scratch or something, but it's hard to tell visually that it's a scratch. nevertheless, I thought it was interesting enough to share the scanned image

Is it possible that the coin was struck through a small amount of grease. From the pic, I can almost see a border (line) that passes through where the detail on the date and mintmark is gone. With the coin circulated as it is, I imagine much of the evidence of being Struck Through Grease is lost already.

Hard to tell with just a picture.
