The jackie robinson is a very sweet coin that usually carries a nice numismatic premium.
Whats the massive one a nice 10 ouncer?

I was expecting you to respond basebal21, I saw your post recently about Jackie :) The 2009 Philharmoniker is a very nice 20 ouncer.

Australia really does love to make massive gold coins lol. I love that Jackie coin, I dont buy gold but that is one I would consider making an exception for especially with that amazing set you got with it

Republik Ã-sterreich, nice 20 UNZEN Goladzojaberazulbum I didn't even know that the Austrians even made such a size Gold philharmonic!! Das a lot of gold. What's that a $70K haul there? Out of my budget by about 3 orders of magnitude, but beautiful coins there none the less.

basebal21, I knew that the Aussies and the Canadians went cookoo on mass for gold coins, at least as a stunt, and my LCS had a Kilo Silver Kookaburra in one of my visits, but it's a surprise to that the Austrians were into that act.

numismatic/collectible premium can be collected/recovered/profited upon easily for smaller items we all know. But, what about these large gold coins and bars? My measly budget compared auptpdag1995 could not afford me any experience in the field - would the buyer market for 10-20+oz gold coins be able or willing to fork up more than melt in gold? I've seen a 2oz Engelhard gold bar sell for more than twice spot, but a 20oz one?
I hope it's better than mass silver. The larger the silver piece the lower the premium. In terms of price, nothing in silver worth more than $32,000 (~1000oz silver or ~20oz gold melt) cost much if any premium
A beauty though, these behemoths!

For some reason that didnt even register to me that was and Austrian coin, I was too distracted by the jackie robinson. I wonder if this means well be seeing 10 ouncers from the US at some point since we copied the 5
