From the mint's description: "Your first coin in your subscription is a unique opportunity to celebrate the 75th anniversary of Ducks Unlimited Canada with a coin and duck call keepsakes."
That description seems to indicate you would receive the call along with the first coin. It would make sense if the box came with the coin and the call at the same time. (Not that what is said in the description OR what makes sense seems to ever determine when the shipment of the box will take place.)
If it does come with the first coin I will fill the two empty spaces with coins from the 1/2 oz subscription while I wait for that box!

The 50 cent roll is a little disappointing:
15000 Ships on 12-03-2013 3 per household
They upped the mintage and reduced the limit.
That's the number of rolls. There is also the single coin + tartan for $14.95. It says "limited edition" but I don't see the limit.

Mintage states while supplies lasts, so that kinda leaves it up to the demand of sales through the year. Don't buy this one for the coin ;)
Total mintage of 50 cent coins from circulation and sets is around 500,000 this year, low for coins, but high for 50 cent.

@ canuck, thanks for info. Not sure when you will receive case and "duck call". Maybe with third coin?

I was wondering why there wouldn't be partial GST/HST on the subscription for the Ducks Unlimited silver coins. I understand that the coins themselves are exempt because of their silver content, but the duck call has value on its own - say $25-$50. Is it because the RCM is charging the same price per coin whether you buy it stand alone or with the subscription? It has been several years since I have dealt with GST/HST issues and I am just curious.

I think I found my answer but I will leave my original post in case anyone else was curious. If this is the case, the total cost of the set is $209.85 - so the RCM must have to place a value on the call of less than $20.99 in order to qualify. I guess if they allowed you to keep the call after the first coin, you would have to pay HST on it. Small Package Exemption There is an exemption on bundled sales called the small package exemption. To qualify for the small package exemption, the taxable portion of a bundled sale must meet all of the following criteria: 1. it is pre-packaged with the non-taxable portion or it is not normally sold separately from the non-taxable portion, 2. it has a value of 10% or less of the total price, 3. it has a value of $50 or less, 4. it is not part of a promotional distribution, 5. it is not a telecommunication service or legal service and does not include such a service, and 6.it is not liquor.

Couldn't the same be asked for every case they ship SEPARATELY and for which they define a value? The Duck, GO7 and two Oh Canada subscriptions have free cases. I think they are technically taxable. Since the line item is $0.00, there is nothing collected.

Are the 50cent rolls a popular collector item?

@coin_games
Based on the PST they charged you, you can know the price of the duck call.

Quote: Are the 50cent rolls a popular collector item? It depends what you are collecting and what are your interests... Do not go by the popularity. It collectible, same as other rolls. But more interesting due it's lower mintage and the coins that not in the circulation.
