I have looked at a number of these coins on ebay but so far I haven't had the confidence to buy one as I believe it is a very commonly faked type.

I won't offer any opinion on authenticity as I am not familiar enough with the type to comment but I would hope that you bought it from a reputable dealer. There is nothing I see that particularly sets the alarm bells ringing but I am sure that someone will offer a solid opinion on whether its alright.

I'm not good with these coins either, but I think I see signs of silver crystallization on the surface--with usually suggests very old age.

I am also not an expert in Greek coins but this coin seems a bit odd to me. I can't say anything concrete other than the style looks just a bit off to me and the surfaces look a bit off as well. I recently sold this example, just for comparison.

I found several examples of this Hemidrachm,this is one of them.
Mysia - Parium. c. 350 - 300 B.C. AR Hemidrachm.Obverse:
Gorgoneion head facing; serpents
around. Reverse: Bull standing,looking back; above, monogram;
below, P I and vine-leaf.
Yours sold exmple is with grain ear below
