We all know that mints that produce replicas of coins are supposed to put "copy" on the coin someplace. Many nowadays don't, especially if they are coming from Asia.

Well my friends, I now have a sample of a product at the other end of the spectrum. This replica clearly states that it is not intended to fool someone into thinking it is the real McCoy.

Have a look and if you have a better "copy" please post it!

Wow! That's terrible. It seems like all school money coins have a bigger-than-normal COPY mark.

I must disagree - that is an original copy from 1977. I have read somewhere it is worth quite a bit so I would hang onto it if I were you.

(drips with sarcasm )

I am just not realizing how horrible this "coin" is!

Kelly, good catches...you made me take my game up a notch. Lets have a blow-by-blow.

LIBERTY 1977
LIMRTV 1977

IN GOD WE TRUST
NBIORIVE RUST

E PLURIBUS UNIUM
EPLUBUS UNIUM

UNITED STATES OF AMERICA
NITED STATES OF AMERICA

MONTICELLO
CEIO

I sure hope it wasn't use for any ‘educational' purposes.

Next time they'll put KOPE for COPY.

Obviously "play money". Don't know if America produced play tills with play play money to teach kids about commerce. I certainly remember from my childhood in Britain in the 1960s these kits being for sale.

I really like how the White House looks like an ice cream sundae with a cherry on top.

(looks at clock) Time for lunch.

You are so right.

If they put that on this "coin" it'd be spelled "ise kreem sundeh"....what has this world come to?

Even jbuck is laughing at it!
