ive been reading about these on this site and was hoping someone could explain what they are and the process of obtaining them, or direct me to a post explaining this.

Bank branches receive coins in boxes---Pennies=$25; Nickels=$100; Dimes=$250; Quarters=$500 and Halves=$500. My bank and credit union will get me
whatever/however many boxes I want. I call my order in to the head teller and it'll be received the following week. They don't charge me for this, but banks in
some areas do charge per box fees. Different banks will have different requirements on how they want the coins returned. Some want them rolled and some
want them unrolled but in "transit quantities" (Pennies=$100; Nickels=$200; Dimes, Quarters and Halves=$1K). CRHers generally prefer to pick up coin at
one bank and dump at another, so you're not re-hunting your own already-hunted coin three weeks later.

Talk to the head teller at your bank and find out what their drill is and how they do it.

Good luck and happy hunting!

Fat Freddy said it all. One additional note. There are other good reasons to dump at a different branch besides 'not eating where you dump'. Doesn't matter if your bank seems friendly or 'you have a friend'...best practice is to dump coin somewhere besides your pickup bank. It could save you some headache down the road.
