I was going through an old Whitman folder from my childhood and came across this 1989-D Cent. This was around the time I was collecting as a child so it came from circulation around 89-91.

The mintmark shows a doubled D with the copper plating missing from one of the D's

The reverse has some strange copper plating issues that make it look like a doubled image on the reverse. Can anyone identify is there is a variety here. I am thinking these are just the result of plating blisters. Do you think this correct?

Your coin is plagued by split plating on both sides, the mintmark is not actually repunched.

Thanks for the input. The plating looks pretty bad on the reverse and there are some plating bubble on Lincoln forehead as well. Maybe some eBayer out there collects these ;)
