Its an A, just either damaged or poorly formed on one side, nice coin all the same though.

Definitely a high end piece. Even has silvering ! Someone with deep pockets will surely pay dearly for it. By the way the A is clearer on this than any of the letters on my only example .... and I paid around $75 a long time ago !
