Hi there,

I've got a couple of coins, I believe they are Roman.

Can anyone help me identify them?

The first token might be connected to the church or religion.
I read "CONSECRATIO" [consecrated] on the reverse.

The obverse shows the man casting his eyes skyward.
Wearing a crown of thorns?

I believe the first coin is Roman and has something to do with the emperor Claudius II but that is as far as I can get. I've checked many Claudius II coins but none are exactly as this one. Found very similar ones though...

You need to copy and paste link as it does not work due to [square bracket]

I don't think that's the one although it looks like it. But the face looks different. Thanks though!

Top one, for a proper identification, is a posthumous issue of Claudius II Gothicus.

It was issued by his brother quintillus and emperors after this to commemorate the death of such a great emperor. He was deified and made a god. The reverse is a flaming altar, the obverse is Claudius II Gothicus in a radiate crown (not facing upwards) and the legend DIVVS CLAVDIO references him being deified. Pretty common and commonly faked by barbarians. This one has been a bit overcleaned.

The second coin is Constantine I or II (I havent checked, design appears to be Constantine I).

Third coin is looking provincial to me (cant read the legends) but is Septimus Severus/Antoninus pius/Commodus or around that era.

That is very detailed BenByField, thanks a lot!

So if I'm correct the first coin is this one: http://www.vcoins.com/en/stores/inc...Default.aspx

Am I right? There are so many coins, its kinda confusing!

And can you perhaps give me some references/ urls to the 2nd and 3rd coin? That would be very helpful.

Second coin is Constantine I, MARTI CONSERVATORI reverse type. Hard to narrow down a mint but here is an example from Ticinum (mint mark TT) with a link to all of the details of this example:
