Does anyone know if there is a website similar to coppercoins, but for Jefferson nickels. I found this 1964-D DDR, and would like to attribute it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I apologize about the closeup photos. My AmScope is on the fritz.

They all have the same things listed as to what is doubled. Besides there are not any photos.

Have you looked in Cherry Pickers? If not, I have a copy at home I can check.

The only variety CPG shows for 1964-D is a RPM.

I am currently trying to attribute a 1938 Jefferson DDR. The only thing I can find is "The Best of the Jefferson nickel Doubled Die Varieties" by John A. Wexler and Brian A. Ribar. Mr. Wexler has a great site with tons of pics but none on the Jeffersons. I guess because of the reference book listed above. the only problem is I can't find a cheap, used copy. The cheapest I can find is at least $35 including shipping. I almost won it on ebay last weekend for $20 but someone outbid me at the last second.

Wexler, himself, does not have anymore of those to sell. I emailed him, and that is what I was told. Good reference materials are not easily sold off. Most people keep them.

I have " Strike It Rich With Pocket Change " and it's an exact match to Wexler's WDDR-008. I have been looking for one as I come across a ton of 64-D's. Nice find !

Looks like Machine Doubling from the images. Better, clearer ones might help?

Yup that is it. Thanks. I didn't even think to look in my Strike it Rich book. The snake tongue like T's are a dead give away. Not too bad for something that cost me a whole nickel.

Coop, if I get my scope up and running again I will post better pics.
