I'll defer to those with more experience: Is this a "raised ground" Buffalo nickel?

That would be a type one Buffalo, only for the year 1913. There is a type 2, which has the normal, recessed reverse which is how the series completed.

I've examined the coin carefully with my 10X loupe and can find no trace of a mint mark. I even had my son take a look at it with his 15-year-old eyes, and he could see no trace of one either. Thanks to everyone who has weighed in!
